Submarine Outhouse

This episode featured Frankfurter Ahnung, a collection of some of the most adventurous music out of Europe (especially London), as well as live readings of poetry by Out to Lunch, curator of the CD and leading critic and champion for the revolutionary artistic tendancy called the Esemplasm.

And to supplement this urgent shot from the London avant-garde, I played seven tracks from Winnipeg Riot, a 2005 collection of 18 Killers from Canada's Musical Murder Capital. While I despise much of the fluff that passes as "punk rock" & "indie rock" at this late date, I am amazed at how dissonant & powerful much of this recent Winnipeggan music is.
