This episode presented a bird's-eye view of the earth & an earth-eye gaze at the sky, featuring four tracks from the Mahavishnu Orchestra's 1973 album Birds of Fire, two from the Buttless Chaps' Cartography, five from a Mayday records punk compilation, Chris Cutler's Life On Earth, and a live reading of Charles Olson's poem Kingfishers.

Airway To Heaven

A starry vault, a firmament dividing celestial waters, paradisiacal mind state, cloud city, New Jerusalem, City of God ... What's your conception of Heaven or the heavens? Can you get there by air? From 10pm to midnight on February 3, 2010 Naval Aviation In Audio tried, reading the poetry of Canadian Christopher Dewdney (Radiant Inventory) and Brit Keston Sutherland (Antifreeze) with Alexina Louie's From the Eastern Gate and other music. This episode included the entire Hairway to Steven album by the Butthole Surfers, and just to make sure things didn't get too serious, 3 blasphemous tracks from Frank Zappa's You Are What You Is. Second ever Double Episode.
